About these terms
Rooted is offered by Faith Solutions Group (“we,” “us”). These terms cover this website (getrooted.me) and the Rooted app at app.getrooted.me. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information and is part of these terms.
Who can use Rooted
You must be at least 13 years old to use Rooted. If you are 13 to 17, you need a parent or guardian's permission, and they agree to these terms for you. Rooted is written with women in mind, and everyone who follows these terms is welcome.
Your account
- Give us a real email address and keep your sign-in details to yourself. You're responsible for what happens on your account.
- One person per account.
- Tell us right away at clientcare@getrooted.me if you think someone else is using your account.
- You can delete your account anytime in the app under Profile, My account.
Free and Premium
Rooted is free to use. Premium adds more plans, your garden, the prayer wall, circles, wins, accountability partners, your prayer journal, and other features.
Price
- Premium is $5 a month or $50 a year (US dollars), plus any tax that applies. The price is shown before you buy.
- Premium starts as soon as your payment goes through. There is no free trial.
- Payments are processed by Stripe.
Automatic renewal
Premium renews automatically each month or year, and your card is charged at the start of each new period until you cancel. If a payment fails, you keep Premium for a short grace period while you update your card. After that, your account goes back to free.
Canceling
Cancel anytime in the app under Profile, Manage membership. Premium stays on until the end of the period you've paid for, then your account goes back to free. When Premium ends, you lose access to all Premium features. You can still read the entries already in your journal, and nothing is deleted. Deleting your account cancels Premium right away.
Refunds
Payments are non-refundable, except where the law requires a refund. If something went wrong with a charge, email clientcare@getrooted.me and we'll look at it with you.
Changes to prices
If we change Premium's price, we'll tell you before it applies to you, and you can cancel before your next renewal.
Community guidelines
The prayer wall, wins, circles, and accountability partners are places to pray for and encourage each other. When you post or message, please:
- Be kind, honest, and respectful, as you would with a sister in Christ.
- Don't share links, email addresses, or phone numbers, and never ask for money. Posts with links, email addresses, or money requests are refused automatically.
- Don't harass, threaten, bully, or shame anyone, or post hateful, sexual, or violent content.
- Don't pretend to be someone else, spam, or advertise.
- Protect other people's privacy. Don't share someone's personal details or story without their permission.
- Don't post anything illegal or anything you don't have the right to share.
You can report any wall post or partner message, and block anyone. A wall post that two different members report is hidden until our team reviews it. We may hide or remove content, and we may suspend or close accounts that break these guidelines. A suspended member can still read, pray, and journal, but can't post or join community features.
Your content
What you write in Rooted is yours. When you post to a community space, you give us permission to store it and show it to the members who can see that space, only so we can run Rooted. We don't use your private journal or check-ins for anything except showing them back to you. You can delete your posts, and deleting your account deletes your content.
Our content
Scripture in Rooted is from the King James Version, which is in the public domain in the United States. Everything else, including our devotionals, prayers, reading plans, affirmations, artwork, the garden, the Rooted name and logo, and the app itself, belongs to Faith Solutions Group. You may use it for your own personal devotional life and share verses and images from the app with friends. Please don't copy, sell, or republish our content in bulk.
Rooted is not counseling or medical care
Rooted offers Scripture, prayer, and encouragement. It isn't a substitute for professional counseling, medical care, or emergency help, and members and coaches who encourage you aren't acting as licensed professionals.
If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, call or text 988 to reach the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline (US). If you are in danger, call 911.
Acceptable use
Don't try to break into Rooted or other members' accounts, get around Premium, scrape or copy the app, interfere with how it runs, or use it for anything unlawful.
Other sites
Rooted links to other sites, like Bible Gateway and My Faith Hub. We don't control them, and their own terms apply.
Changes to Rooted and to these terms
We're always working on Rooted, so features may change, be added, or be removed. If we make important changes to these terms, we'll update the date at the top and let you know in the app or by email. Using Rooted after a change means you accept the new terms.
Ending your use
You can stop using Rooted and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts other members at risk. When possible, we'll tell you why.
Disclaimers
We work hard to keep Rooted running well, but it's provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent the law allows, we don't promise it will always be available, error-free, or meet every need, and we disclaim implied warranties such as merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Content posted by other members is theirs, not ours.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Faith Solutions Group won't be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost data, arising from your use of Rooted. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for Rooted in the 12 months before the claim, or $50 if you haven't paid us anything. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
You agree to cover us for claims that come from your posts or from your breaking these terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in South Carolina, unless the law where you live says otherwise. Please reach out to us first. Most concerns can be settled with a simple email.
The rest
If part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a part right away, we haven't given up the right to. These terms and our Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about Rooted.
